ORGANIZING TOOLS
Huttleston Data Design has been helping like-minded people
organize since 1996. Having people on staff that are paid to organize new members is good.
Providing user-friendly secure web-based tools to paid organizers and potentially to members
volunteering their time, increases the chances of a successful outcome. That is better!
We provide the following organizing tools:
-
Organizers can track all contact with potential members in the database.
HDD provides tools that allow you to start building your targeted
organizing universe quickly. Organizers can track all contact with
potential members in the database - including personal contact and
conversations, persuasion mailings, important issues, and ultimately
the individual's position on joining the union.
HDD can combine data from multiple sources including registered voter
lists, information gathered by lead organizers or community leaders, data
from past organizing attempts, and data purchased through third-party
marketing firms into a single cohesive database.
-
Standardized and custom reports can easily be retrieved from the database system.
Obtaining a list of potential members to organize that includes more than names is
rare and, in many cases, even getting a list of names proves impossible. HDD provides
tools that allow you to start building your targeted organizing universe as soon as
you make the decision to undertake a campaign.
Weekly reports on the number of face-to-face contacts, phone conversations, home visits,
e-mails, letters sent and anything else you would like tracked including expenses can all
be input online. Once the data is in the database, reports by organizer, by campaign,
by state, and by region can all be generated by people having the proper permissions
within the system. Expense reports based on the same criteria could also be produced
and distributed electronically.
-
Data from both successful and unsuccessful campaigns can be used to improve future outcomes.
Data from both successful and unsuccessful organizing campaigns can be
analyzed and used for future decision making purposes. Tracking historical data
will provide you with an opportunity to repeat efforts and behaviors that are
favorable to successful campaigns while trying to avoid the duplication of
an earlier mistake.
In addition, year-to-date goals and benchmarks can be tracked through a
dashboard setting that is updated each time an organizer submits relevant data.
We would welcome an opportunity to discuss how you currently organize, the unique
challenges faced based on the industry you organize and whether technology can improve
the process. Please contact
Jeff Frey to request a meeting or information regarding HDD.
